  • Not even worth one star, but this is as low as I can go. I have had such a terrible experience so far, and today is the last straw for me. Prior to this, my boyfriend and I have had several issues with this location having a lack of communication among its employees. I would get calls at work to confirm appointments for my boyfriend or myself, and each time I would remind them that I also had an appointment that same day and time that I would like to confirm - they said they did so, and then I would get calls later that very same day to confirm my appointment even though I had just confirmed hours before. The last time this happened, I asked that they contact my boyfriend for confirmations moving forward, as I am not allowed to get calls during my workday and will get in trouble, and though they assured me they would call him in the future, the calls continue. We signed up for a membership in February because we wanted to be able to have our sessions at the same time, and this is clearly an issue at this location. We have had to reschedule because of their conflicting schedules, making it hugely inconvenient for us to be able to go in together, when this shouldn't be as big of a problem as it is. Today, I received notice at practically the last minute (a missed call at 2:37 for a 4 pm session) because they did not have anyone 'certified' to do prenatal massage. This was already a rescheduled session as it was, as they were not able to accommodate our same time/same date request for March. Apparently, there is a policy that licensed therapists working at Massage Envy have to go through a Massage Envy branded training in order to work on pregnant clients even though a licensed massage therapist in the state of NV can already do prenatal sessions (especially if they've gone to NSMT, where it is required to learn, and where a majority of therapists working at ME went to school). This is just a policy that only Massage Envy has, which I was never informed of prior to signing up. I am a licensed massage therapist myself, and had I been made aware of this policy (which drastically limits my availability to receive a session), I would have signed up with a different establishment, like Massage Heights - where I know for a fact that this would not have been an issue, having worked for them in the past. I have yet to receive a response from a manager, and am waiting until the end of the day, as I have been promised that the manager/supervisor would reach out to me. I highly doubt I will get the call back that I requested, but will update this review accordingly. Because I am locked in to a year long contract, I am unable to cancel, but my boyfriend and I would have NEVER signed up had we been given information on their prenatal policy - and this is definitely the kind of information that should be provided prior to signing up for a membership. At this point, I feel misinformed and should be able to cancel, but they have made it clear that this is not possible at this point, and there is absolutely nothing that can be done and nothing has been rectified. Prenatal massage requires a side-lying drape and lighter work, and any therapist there should have been able to provide the session today that I have paid for. This is not the case, and I am deeply upset by this entire situation. I recommend avoiding this company- or at least this location- AT ALL COSTS. EDIT: 11:30 pm As I suspected, the manager did not call me this evening as promised (though I was given several reassurances that I would receive a call in regards to this matter). Send your business elsewhere, the lack of professionalism at this location is appalling.
