I was quite excited to come to the improv to see Steve Byrne. Who - by the way was fantastic!
I know the improv isn't known for its service- its known for the comedians it brings in. I get that. My frustration is about the service - not the comedians. I will go back because of the laughter.
We went to the Friday night 945 show. Super busy - but not packed. We knew we didn't want to sit in the front - and got a great seat in the back. My friend and I each ordered an angry orchard drink and an order of mozzarella sticks to share.
After the 2 openers we hadn't gotten our mozzarella sticks - I told my friend - I bet she forgot them. As long as we weren't charged for them - I was ok with not getting them.
Here's where my frustration is - when our bill came I made sure the mozzarella sticks were not on it - which they weren't. Our bill came to $14.50. I had a $20 bill that I paid with. She came and asked if she could take it - I said yes. She NEVER brought my change. I am a great tipper - had she brought my change - I probably would have left most of it. (Even though she never got us the ordered mozzarella sticks) But it's the fact that she assumed she was keeping a $5.50 tip. You NEVER assume unless they say - keep the change. Which never came out of my mouth. She was no where to be found at the end of the show - so I couldn't inquire about my change.
So a note all - don't pay cash at the Improv - unless you want no change back.
