| - If I could give this place zero stars i would.
My friend and I were walking around trying to find a fun gay bar/club to have some one because it was one of the only bars on the street that actually had people in it which we thought could possibly be fun. Obviously what we walked in on was not fun at all. I get it that its half club half strip bar whatever, doesn't really make a difference in the long run but if i wanted to watch have naked men dance with and grind on all the girls that were there, i would have gone a straight bar. Look, I'm not against having girls that a bar but come one it is a GAY bar for a reason so at least pretend it is.
Anyways, that really wasn't what turned us off from the bar. Sure, some of the guys were attractive but the vibe was not the most inviting nor the most entertaining. From the moment my friend and I walked in was just full of annoyances. From the difficulty of the cover fee and the getting and yadada to the service. I just felt like the entire time we were taking advantage because obviously we are not from montreal and needless to say, don't speak a lick of french. After I paid my cover charge, the guy gave me back to less then he was suppose to and of course i had no idea what I was getting back because I have never seen these coins before. Get to the bar order our drinks with my credit card in hand, when i go pay the bartender says they don take cards, cash only. Well, here goes another 3 dollars to take out some more cash from the ATM. Maybe it was just my naivety but most bars where i am from take your card happily and keep a tab open so you WANT to spend more money. Whatever, on to the show. So, we are sitting down watching all the drunk girls fall over on their heels and pretend to slide up and down the pole to get the strippers attention and of course the only ones dancing are basically drunk girls because they have climb onto the stage and overthrown the gay population. Finally the strip show begins. We are sitting down enjoying the show everyone I spot a few people with their phones out taking pictures so I start taking some pictures as well, having a grand old time waiting what felt like hours for our drinks. Finally, the so called waiter comes back (the same waiter who i tried to get his attention t order these small, tasteless and weak drinks that left one feeling extremely unsatisfied) come up behind me and snatches my phone right out of my hands. I was left stupified because i had no idea what was going on. I didnt think I was doing anything wrong because there were other people doing it as well. I run over and ask what the hell was going and all he does is say that i wasnt suppose to be doing. Well god freaking dam, sorry that I had absolutely no idea especially because there wasn't a single sign that said "NO PHOTOGRAPHY" or the french equivalent which I'm sure I could have deciphered. Look, I get it if someone doing something wrong you call them out on it but you do not so rudely take some personal property away. It was disgusting and I wanted to shove his half-assed shaven head up against the wall because it irritated me so much. So i walk over and let them delete the three pictures i had on my phone and went to my friend who had a waiter hovering over the table waiting for a tip. Again, I get there is a different way things are done here then back home but I'm sure there is a polite way to get your tip without being so obnoxious. Needless to say, we only remained in there to long enough to finish the pathetic excuse for a drink that they served and went on our merry way. NEVER returning there. Worst gay I have ever been to. Worst service. Worst everything. Campus is in the wrong neighborhood because that is not a a gay bar.
