  • Went to this Ulta to get balayage highlights and haircut. Tess was my stylist and she was AWFUL. Showed her a picture of what I wanted and she told me "girl I got you," and that she was a "specialist" for those. No, she did not "have" me, nor was she a specialist. She turned my hair orange, ombre'd it when I asked for subtle balayage, was ripping my hair out as she was brushing it so roughly, that she ripped the stud earring out of my cartilage and all she had to say was "oops." I asked for a haircut and for her to thin my hair - which I ended up paying for and didn't get a haircut, nor did she thin my hair because your hair must be dry for that - she let me leave the salon with my hair wet (because she took so long on the other client while she sat with color on my hair for almost an hour that they were closing by the time she got to me), so I didn't get to see that the color would turn out orange until I had to go home and blow dry it myself. To top off the awful service I had, she got toner all over the back of my shirt and said "wow I've never gotten color on someones clothes before." Well Tess, glad I could be your first. Needless to say, if you plan on going there for salon service - don't go to Tess.
