rev:text	Well, I will say that this place definitely made me NEVER want to go to another treatment facility ever again. These are some of the negative experiences I had at Desert Hope: The food was terrible (think middle school cafeteria). I was told I would be in this facility for 30 days, but after I arrived I was told I would be there between 45 and 60 days. Most groups are taught out of packets by staff that have no schooling or training whatsoever, which I think is unprofessional. If you're in the residential facility for longer than 30 days, all of the groups repeat themselves. I personally didn't receive anymore than two 1 on 1 therapy sessions from my therapist. Every single time I asked if I could speak with her, she would tell me she was too busy which made me think and feel like the clients weren't important/we're all just another number to the staff. The amount of petty, child-like drama that went on throughout the facility was insane, which made it extremely difficult for the staff to take clients seriously when there was truly an issue. Clients were constantly hoping the fence to get loaded and would then come back to the facility(more times than not with drugs). There was an issue with my insurance being charged numerous times for the same things, which resulted in my insurance declining a fair amount of the claims Desert Hope made(lab work, blood work, doctor visits, etc.) I didn't have the resources or the help to make a plan for after I got out, which sucked. I was told that my insurance was no longer paying for my treatment and I needed to leave that same night. Luckily I had family in Vegas that helped me find a sober house before the night was over, but this just worries me for the out of state clients/clients that don't have family or anywhere to go if they were to be kicked out without warning because their insurance decided to suddenly stop paying. If I were you I would really sit and think about ALL of your options, and think about them thoroughly, before you decide on Desert Hope. There is no: acupuncture, pool, sauna, massage therapy. Chris Boutte made my stay bearable, continues to show me his support and encourages me to do the right thing.
