  • Hawaii Bar is the best bar in my immediate neighborhood. I was so glad that Robert K. decided to go in there with me, as I was slightly worried you had to be male and Portuguese to be granted entry. WRONG. Hawaii bar is for everyone, old, young, Portuguese, non-Portuguese, and feathered (there are birds in the entrance way). The decor is charmingly Tiki, the staff extremely friendly, and the beer is very cold (note: no draft beer on tap). This is a good neighborhood hangout and though I've never been to Hawaii, reminds me thoroughly of a few Montreal bars I used to frequent during my McGill days. ALOHA.
