This is the second time we've visited this restaurant. The last time was a long while ago and we don't even remember what we had. It must have not really made a great impression since we hadn't returned in such a long time.
I'm Puerto Rican so this food speaks to my soul. I have only visited a few other Spanish food restaurants here (not Mexican like everyone in Arizona thinks Spanish food is) and really haven't been impressed with any of them. I suppose I'm a little bit of a harder critic on the foods that I grew up with and love than on other types of food but I just wasn't feeling this place.
We had the bistec emapanizado with congris. The dish lacked in flavor. I hate bad mouthing restaurants, especially those which we have very little options for here in the valley, but I can only muster up 2 stars for it. Maybe the chef need to add a little more adobo.
