With free tickets in hand, I figured why the heck not.
I hadn't had much desire to attend Foodie Fest in the past but I was able to snag a few free passes for this year's event and decided to give the festival a whirl.
We arrived around 6pm on Friday and the parking lot was pretty packed. We were still able to find a relatively good parking space so I felt optimistic.
The lines for the trucks were pretty long but moved quickly. I'm not a fan of waiting on food truck lines only to have to precariously balance my overpriced meal with one hand while trying to find a quiet corner to enjoy my food. This happened on more than one occasion at Foodie Fest, but I tried to maintain a go with the flow attitude.
Prices were steeps but I did enjoy quite a few of the food trucks we got a chance to try. Overall, I don't see myself going out of my way to try the festival again, but it was definitely better than expected.
