As a local I was looking forward to staying at the Hilton as a getaway. Upon arrival very thing went wrong. There was a accident blocking valet and we were unable to unload all our luggage. We arrived 45 min prior to check in and on a Sunday had to wait until 3 to check in which is not a big deal however no room upgrades were available for purchase. The hotel was hectic and a complete mess. Garbage everywhere! The hallway to our room had huge piles of garbage. We couldn't order room service due to the kitchen being shut down due to kosher reasons for a Jewish convention. I expressed to a front desk agent my concern as a guest due to the inconvenience as a guest. No resolution with the agent. I spoke to the acting manager on duty who blamed the convention and was met with MORE excuses for my inconvenience. Again no resolution. As a paying guest I expect my stay to be just as comfortable as everyone else's. I expect all amenities that I pay for to be available to me. As a guest it is unacceptable that my stay should be made uncomfortable because of other patrons and the hotels decision to out them and their needs before other guests.
