  • Disclaimer: I love sweets more than most. Words can't describe how awesome this event was. Desserts and drinks so creative and delicious, beyond my wildest dreams! There were lots of people but everyone was friendly (why wouldn't they be, getting free desserts and alcohol!), and when there were lines they moved fast. The dessert samples are not tiny; many are like full-size desserts! It's hard to pick a favorite but I think it would have to be the Thai coconut donut from Rollover Donuts. The drink samples aren't tiny either, so be careful! Also hard to pick but my favorite drink was Rachel Dugan's from DeSoto Central Market. Forget the name but it was something like Mexican moonshine, Thai chili pepper, and something white (horchata? I forget). So many talented bartenders and bakers/pastry chefs!! So much attention to detail! The displays were all gorgeous, too. We got there at 3:30 and left at 5:30, busting out of our pants and feeling pretty stuffed/ill. Oh well, it was definitely worth it!
