I was very pleasantly surprised by my first visit to "Kiss the Cook". My family and I visited for the first time on a Sunday. The restaurant is instantly welcoming and cozy. The place smelled like coffee and muffins. The menu had a lot of tasty dishes I would love to try next time I visit, like crepes and pancakes but I went with an omelette and home fries. I enjoyed my food. The food, the service, the atmosphere all felt like the staff cares about the experience the patrons have. Did I mention the muffins? They offer a complimentary basket of mini muffins for the table with certain dishes (I think that's how it works, I'm not sure). The muffins were warm, moist and delicious. The coffee is served in glass cups. I prefer mugs but I appreciate that they have a signature thing. I wish the coffee was better but it certainly wasn't bad. I also liked that they offer flavored coffee. The place was full when we visited. It's a really nice, laid back restaurant and I look forward to coming back. I would have come sooner but when I would see their signage from the car as we drove by I was worried because it seemed a bit outdated. I didn't know what that would mean if we went inside. Upon visiting, my experienced proved to be very positive. I like this place.
