| - After reading some of the reviews this place has gotten, I was also very reluctant to bring my brand new car to this shop, but given the fact that they had a groupon deal, I went for it and had hoped I would be in and out of there without any trouble.
The guy at the front was nice, he up-sold me, which I was fine with, my car was literally 36 hours off the lot when I took it to Capital, so I was fine with getting the best for my brand new car. They took it back right away, and it was finished within 2 hours. The tint looked amazing. There were bubbles when I got it which they say would burn off. Most of them did besides a few small ones in the rear view.
The problem that I had was the several SCRATCHES that I noticed on my paint while I was wiping off remaining water spots. Immediately, I called the shop back to let them know and avoid any "you should have notified us right away" drama. The guy told me to bring it back in so they could take a look at it, which I did a day or 2 later, after sending pictures of the scratches to the shop for proof the initial day they were found.
When I got there, the owner helped me out. Before he even got to see the scratches he was denying that his shop could have caused it. Then after seeing them, he continued saying that they don't wear belts or keys or use sharp tools and theres no way any of his guys could have done it (even though there are 2 scratches on the tint of my windshield that are IDENTICAL to the ones on the paint.) My car had been off the lot for less than 2 days, so I made sure to check every inch of the car to ensure its condition before giving them my keys. There wasn't even a water spot on it when it was dropped off, let alone harsh looking scratches. None of this convinced the owner, and he kept telling me he didn't know what he could do about it because they weren't to blame. He would not see the facts in front of his face and take responsibility for his employees mistakes, whether he thought they could be made or not. Only when I mentioned a lawyer finding something he could do about it did he finally offer some sort of resolution, which was an offer to buff the scratches. I was extremely nervous to have a buffing machine in the hands of anyone at this shop, but given the fact that my car was all scratched up not even 36 hours after leaving the dealership, I decided to take the risk to bring it back to new.
All of that being said, my car and I just got back from the buff job, and it looks great. They fixed their initial mistake pretty well. It's unfortunate that any of this happened in the first place, considering it could have been completely avoided had the shop been more careful, but I am satisfied with the tint job and thankful that the owner finally stepped up and made it right. Leaving the review at 2 stars because of the initial carelessness that the shop showed by scratching my car, the unprofessionalism of the owner for arguing with and accusing customers, and also badgering them with phone calls after they leave a negative review like he did with me.
