| - Hilarities is a wonderful place. Every time I have been here, around 6 or so shows now, I have had a fantastic time.
Expect two people to perform before the main act. From my experience, these two people can have literally the exact same routine that they have used on previous shows. It seems that they rotate some people through to change it up, but if you go too frequently, expect the same openers with the same routines.
Prices for tickets seem to be very reasonable for an evening out. The menu is small and the meals are standard fare for bar food. Fried chicken fingers, fries, a few different sandwiches, etc. A decent selection for sharing with others and a few dessert items. The beer selection is okay. You can get pitchers, bottles, or cans of various beers. I believe they also serve pitchers of mixed drinks, but that sounds a lot like a dangerous night so I have stayed away. I prefer getting a bottled IPA as it seems to be the best bang-for-buck item on the list.
Service is always the same and I don't think I have ever had any issues with it. They are very consistent. You have a two drink minimum to meet for the timeframe of the show and usually, you will get three visits from your server. When we have been close to the front it has only been twice, but it is typically three.
There isn't a bad place to sit in the entire showroom. I prefer sitting in the middle to back area because it is easier to get in and out if I need to for the restroom or some other reason. It can be a little tight in the front with the tables and servers trying to get around.
Make sure you fill out the slips or drop a business card into the bin at the end of the night. I have won on three separate occasions for free tickets.
