| - We had very high expectations when food TV stars pen their name on a burger joint; with Batali being a culinary household brand, I expected america's biggest, juiciest chargrilled burgers... I was soooooo wrong....Turns out we're on the Vegas strip, overfilled with tourists and this specific joint located at the East exit of the Venetian leading to the fancy shmancy 24 hour Walgreens, was way overhyped and overpriced for what it is; it did however have a decent beer list. And, too bad, as the ambiance could have been upbeat and nice.
The restaurant was empty when we walked in at 10pm and the hostess stated that we can only sit at the bar as the entire dining room, which closes at 1am was closed. Shame on you Batali!!!
As for the food, it showed extremely well on the plate, nice presentation and looked appetizing (as you can see by the pictures I took of my meal); but that's where the meatfest honeymoon I was hoping to be on, stopped cold in its feet!
The burger patty was super thin and small for the advertised 6oz patty and versus the huge bun housing it - and it looks nothing remotely close to the oversized burger and Batali advertising poster pointing to the place throughout the property, elevators and hallways. I mean come on! charge more but make it
Right! Don't offer what every Five Guys and Carls has; I came here for an upper-tier huge burger experience!!! I added a side salad and an order of kettle chips which were bland and ordinary, fillers: nothing special.
Once we sat at the bar, the Service was decent but not great. Both bartender and wait staff didn't seem
To want to be there as their body language and small chatter between courses gave the impression they were eager to get out of the place and party, no! No! No!
Skip this dump, the bill For my consumption was a waste of USD$32. #RipOff #NeverAgain
