| - I found this location after an extensive web search for a reputable all-inclusive wedding venue in Las Vegas. As Wedgewood uses many of the vendors that receive high marks on the wedding websites (the Palette, Freed's bakery) I decided to book my wedding here. As I live in Atlanta, I knew that I would be doing all of this long distance and sight unseen.
I'm so glad I booked with Wedgewood! First of all, Megan and Kendall, and later Megan and Desiree, did an amazing job of answering my hundreds of emails promptly and assisting me in navigating the myriad of choices that wedding planning requires. They sent me a notebook guiding me through all of my options and set up three separate phone consultations with me in addition to maintaining regular email contact. They also sent me tons of photos so that I could get a better idea of my options and how they worked in the venue. I changed my mind several times during the process, but they were unflappable. All of my vendors promptly got in contact with me to assist in making my choices before the big day. When I had a problem with one of the vendors, Megan and Desiree fixed it within the day. They were so great that I couldn't help but hug them both when I finally met them at the rehearsal on the day before my wedding.
The wedding itself went off without a hitch. Everything was on time and went so smoothly! All of my guests told me how great the venue was. The location was beautiful and everything was set up just as I had envisioned it over 2,000 miles away. The bridal suite was spacious and well furnished. When we arrived, we found a bottle of sparkling wine on ice. When I told my maid of honor that I was hungry before the wedding, Jacqueline, our wedding coordinator, brought us a beautiful plate of fresh fruit and assorted cheeses.
Even the groom got beer to share with his best man before the ceremony!
After the ceremony, Jacqueline brought my new husband and I the assorted appetizers we had chosen and water so that we wouldn't get cranky while taking pictures during the cocktail hour. When we arrived at our seats for dinner, a beautiful picture of my husband and I kissing at the end of our ceremony was waiting for us in a mirrored frame! Apparently, DJ Murphy took our picture and Alexis, the catering manager and the staff printed the photo and put it in a frame. They literally did this within the hour between the ceremony and dinner! We were speechless.
The impeccable service continued when Alexis, the catering manager, and her assistant Pam fixed our plates for us and made sure we had whatever we wanted during the dinner hour. The food was both delicious and plentiful. Even my sister commented on how she had never tasted food this good at a wedding! Our glasses never went empty, neither did those of our guests as the catering staff was both well organized and attentive. DJ Murphy acted as both emcee and DJ. He did an excellent job as emcee and as DJ he valiantly kept up with a crowd that was clearly separated by both age and culture. After dancing the night away, Alexis sent us off with a bottle of sparkling wine for us to share back at the hotel. I couldn't believe how excellent the customer service was for the price we paid! I literally cannot say enough about this venue. If you value customer service and attention to detail, Wedgewood is for you!
My only negative? Jacqueline was great with us, but had a hard time wrangling our guests. At some point, a couple of family members wandered into the bridal suite. Also several guests lingered after the ceremony when we were trying to take family pictures and in the lounge after the cocktail hour. It wasn't a huge deal, but definitely something that I expected our wedding coordinator to have a better handle on.
