For $200+ a night, I expected a lot more.
The pros: Everything is visually appealing. The rooms look nice, the casino looks inviting with a variety of activities, the buffet was worth $44/each with all the king crab legs and shrimp we ate. Extra waters and coffees were promptly delivered to the room in the morning. Everything was clean. The pools were nice.
The cons: The room looks nice, but really isn't functional. There are no outlets by the beds for your phone. The bathroom door slides but there is a crack on either side which doesn't allow much room for privacy. The shower has a 'waterfall' head which lands on the drain and makes drainage slow. The WORST part was the window coverings. Our room was on the front of the building... where the dancing light show displays. The room windows only had shutters (no blackout curtains) and all we saw the entire night was the lights dancing on our walls and ceiling.
Oddly enough the casino still allows smoking indoors. For a non-smoking guest this was awful. I avoided the casino and bars around it for this reason. We spent the evening sitting outside. Lastly, check-in was RIDICULOUS. The line was almost out the front door and it moved crazy slow. 4:00 check in and only three people working the front desk on a Saturday night when there was also a convention taking place? Poor management. I spent 45 minutes in line that I could have spent in the pool, gambling, or drinking... not a great guest experience.
Overall, if you're a smoker, super into gambling and don't mind light while you try to sleep, this is the place for you.
