I go to the Fresh & Easy on 40th St and Camelback and let me tell you, this my go-to place for groceries from now on. I used to go to Trader Joe's and Fry's to get my weekly groceries. I would describe Fresh and Easy as a combo of both.
As another review indicated, it's basic grocery shopping without the temptation of getting junk you don't need at the bigger grocery chains.
I can get a ton of food for $30 or less (for the week). I especially like their 98 cents produce packs, ready-for-BBQ meats (sometimes 2 packs for $8), and 2 for $5 iced tea carafes. To me, this is the best value for the produce I get. They are the "freshest" I've seen in the valley, especially since I don't have the luxury/budget to go to farmer's markets on a frequent basis.
One best thing about Fresh and Easy is that it got me to cook again, instead of eating out all the time. They make their prepared meals easy to cook and serve. For instance, I grilled for the first time using their cilantro-lemon chicken grill pack. Suffice to say, I had successful results.
Look for their $6 off coupons!
