DANGEROUS! Was injured TWICE due to their negligence - they left my home and I could not figure out why the garage door would NOT go down; here they disconnected the garage door and instead of them returning (as they had just left less than 5 min earlier) instead Matt Mertz, tells the customer (who has had 4 previous back surgeries) to get on a ladder and slam the garage door backwards so that it will lock into place - that did not work and down went the ladder and I - INJURY#1... then while walking thru my tiled floor garage, all of a sudden I am sliding and slipping all over the place; a HUGE puddle well over 3 ft long and 2 ft wide was left by a hose used to flush the drain and BAM - down I go again - this time, for well over an hour before I could get onto all 4's and CRAWl upstairs. I called Matt and he came over the following morning and it took him 15 min to reconnect the garage door - now he refuses to provide me with his liability insurance information - Erie Insurance.... had service provided by another company and am thoroughly pleased at 1/2 the price! Enter into a contract at your own risk with Matt Mertz Plumbing, because IF you get HURT severely like I did; he is unwiling to help you at all and he should have NOT left a job site in such a condition anyways OR AT LEAST RETURNED WHEN MADE AWARE and to boot, he sent me a bill for services rendered despite injuring me, me having to cancel my trip and left me stranded in Pgh for 8 wks as I was unable to fly due to the injuries received..... I live in Las Vegas and was in Pgh to sell my house when HE & HIS STAFF caused my injuries - had to remove house from market as I could NOT leave (what if it would have sold?) - so he created an absolute nightmare and then Hurricane Sandy came barrelling in during all this time too
