  • Decided to have a family birthday celebration dinner here. Had reservations and everything ready when we got there. This is not a large chain restaurant but a small intimate family owned establishment that still accommodated us. Our service was exceptional and very attentive. This is not your typical Mexican food that is here but rather Mexican cuisine that you would see in Mexico City or even in Oaxaca. Everything we head from the appetizer sampler to our dinners was fantastic. Nothing microwaved everything very fresh and cooked to perfection. Three of us had the special which was Gulf Shrimp wrapped in Bacon and grilled was excellent and not over cooked. The other three in our party had three different steak dinners Felete "Asi Es La Vida" , Carne Tampiqueria, and the New York Strip all said cooked perfectly. Everyone was too full to have any dessert. Very nice touch to the evening was the live music a single guitarist playing Spanish music and singing. This restaurant has been added to our list of nice places to return to.
