Eh I knew better than to book this hotel based on the spotty Yelp and Trip Advisor reviews. However my sometimes cheap nature took over and I was enticed by the $10 resort fee and free parking. I just needed a place to sleep for a few nights before making my cross country move. The lobby is attractive and welcoming. There's even a pool table for hotel guests. Unfortunately the lobby is the only nice part about the hotel.
The lady at the front desk informed me that it's the hotels policy not to accept Nevada residents. Whoa what? She apologized and said it's the owners policy. So now what do I do I since my credit card has already been billed for 2 nights? I realized that I still had my old Michigan drivers license in my wallet from 2 years ago. She thankfully accepted it even though it was expired. Absolutely crazy policy!
The rooms are pretty outdated and old. There were two thin bath towels hanging up in the bathroom and one washcloth. The bed was rock hard and featured two thin, lumpy prison pillows. Yay I guess I get to experience what Clark County jail is like! Wifi was slow and kept cutting out. There were a few positive points: decent shower and hot water, air conditioner blew out cold air, and the room was as clean as you can get an old outdated room. The pool looked well maintained and people were sitting outside relaxing. It was also quiet here and the staff seemed friendly.
But seriously, take your money and pay a little more for a better room.
