The literature says "It's easy. If you'd like a customized workout plan, just stop by the front desk and we'll sign you up for a Design Your Own Program session, where you'll meet with our trainer to discuss your fitness goals, medical background, and exercise history."
I arrived on time and was given a worksheet where I talked about my goals and past experience.
The trainer comes over, introduces himself and says okay, today we are going to do 15 minutes on the treadmill, then 15 minutes on the bike then I will show you some back and chest machines.
This wasn't a "customized workout plan" This was an intro to the gym now start walking and I'll be back in 15 minutes.
After about 10 minutes of walking, I left. I have foot and knee problems, Which would have been discussed in a customized workout plan.. I was looking for my trainer to see if we could change things up, he was no where to be found. So, I walked out the front door. Came home and iced my knee.
Tomorrow back to a routine I created thanks to the good folks on the Internet.
Even though it was offered as a "free service included with your membership". I did not find it to be a valuable use of time. I learned more from Google.
