  • As an older adult, I had always wanted to learn how to play the piano from someone who not only possessed the expertise as a great performer, but also from someone who commanded the skills of an effective teacher to help me advance. She is dedicated and takes the time to communicate essential music theory and playing techniques through relevant exercises that promote steady growth. I really like her attention to detail as she has helped me develop better technique in hand and finger positioning, reading music, scales, exercises and performing pieces that are rewarding. Additionally, I must say, I had a previous teacher, although effective, didn't communicate finer details in a manner where I could apply the learning to advance. I really appreciate how she is able to communicate what I'm doing right and wrong through providing examples and non-examples to move me ahead. Natalya takes a vested interest in her students regardless of age promoting success versus financial reward. I highly recommend her!
