Please note this review is solely based on my experience with the ground crew and airport process with this airline.
What is going on here? Never have I seen such slack from this airline. It is hard to even speak about customer service because it is practically non-existant.
I arrived 2 hours early. I did my part. But what was going on inside? Oh the counters aren't open yet so uou have to go to valet (where ofcourse you have to tip the person at the counter) who didn't even do diddly squat about our request to sit next to each other.
4 a.m might sound early but you're an airline at an International airport. You're going to have people at all kinds of odd hours. How can you not have your counters manned?
We show up at the gate (again prompt) about an hour before boarding I made it a point to search for anyone to help me change our seats. The one lady I approached would keep walking and pretended not to hear me. Once she saw I was not giving up she just half-heartedly (and with absolutely no care in the world) said " I can't help you...someone will be there an hr before boarding". I look at the time and oh look it's 58 minutes before boarding. Where the heck is everyone? Seriously!?
15 min to boarding, no one in sight, the flight crew had arrived very prompt and early and they too looked perplexed that no one was at the gate. They too had to wait. Now that's just sad. 5 minutes before boarding and someone finally shows up. This is just blatantly inefficient. So now this lady is rushing to get everything done in that show amount of time.
The boarding system is ridiculous. There is a severe lack of coordination and problem solving skills. A lady's pass port got stuck in the machine and the attendant said she couldn't help the lady until 4 am because they are closed? Um hello, you work here? Again, where is your staff?
Boarding the plane was a other circus. We found our seats, no problem. Come time to take off, we couldn't because 20 bags were still not loaded due to a conveyer belt malfunction. Again, whay the heck? Get up to speed on your stuff.
We sat in the airplane for an entire hour. I honestly felt terrible for the flight crew. You can tell the captain was aggravated and could not find any more ways to apologize for the ridiculousness that is suppose to be an efficiently working team.
Just when we we thought we'd take off poor captain comes back on the PA notifying that 5 bags were still not loaded and he clearly got tired of waiting. Next thing I know the plane is in full on reverse (I don't blame the guy, screw the 5 bags, we are all an hr late).
You can thank your fantastic crew members and pilots for the two stars. They were prompt and had to pick up the pieces for the rest of their inefficient ground team. Get it together because right now you have a plane full of angry patrons...and it's a full flight.
If you find yourself at the McCarran airport I would just try to avoid this airline altogether. The flight crew was wonderful but the team on the ground? I'll pass.
