As an American it's hard to rate poutine. But man, if I get poutine again, I want it from Poutineville.
The place is as casual as you can get- we hit it mid-day and got the lunch crowd- road workers, secretaries, real work a day people. A great sign that it wasn't going to be hoity-toity.
The pencil and paper 'create your own poutine' is dangerous. They already allow you to get 4 cheeses (Grains Frais, Mozzarella, Swiss and Cheddar) and their house cut potatoes ((écrassées) complimentary. Then you get to the add-ons and the list goes on and on... I added hot-dog slices.
It was the largest amount of Poutine that I had while in Montreal- the petite was huge. More than I could handle anyway. Each bite was loaded with goodness.
The price was super reasonable for the amount they give you! Worth a trip to one of their locations.
