| - I had a craving for ramen noodles, and so I ended up finding this place through Yelp.
My friend and I ordered a Shio ramen bowl with traditional toppings with beef and a shrimp tempura udon bowl with traditional toppings.
My criticism lies primarily with the overall taste of the broths, the beef I got with the shio ramen bowl and the noddles (ramen and udon) in both bowls.
-The beef was bland with no flavor and tasted like it had been reheated.
-The noddles in both bowls were still aldente/ slightly hard, and not in a good way. It tasted like both of the noddles were previously frozen and only got 3/4's of the way cooked.
-The taste of each broth was overall lacking. If you are reading this and you've have Japanese ramen before and/or you have had any asian packet-ramen at home, you know that the noddles should have a deep flavor to them (either from a broth based in pork, beef, chicken, soy sauce, dashi etc and/or msg/ salt etc), and these...did not have any of that.
Overall, my impression from walking out of the place was that I should have spent my money going somewhere else.
Positives:
The portion sizes were good, although again, not worth much in terms of taste.
The environment is cool and inviting.
