  • I grew up in Shaker Heights, and have lived most of my adult life in NYC, where independent coffee shops are everywhere. I'm thrilled to discover Gimme Java, in a cafe desert zone like the Van Aken area of Shaker. Now I'm glad the Starbucks left Van Aken because that forced me to find this place! Super friendly owner; good, strong expresso. They play real jazz (not the muzak version) and offer free wifi. What a find!
