The other day I ordered a simple sushi lunch take out. The assorted sushi was mediocre, California rolls were not bad, the salad was okay, nothing to write home about. Same with the miso soup. It's okay if you're craving sushi lunch and have no where to go, but I think if you have time to travel a bit you could go somewhere better.
The weird part was, the sushi combo included one container of plain white rice. I really have no clue why that was included! The sushi and maki rolls already have rice in them. It would make sense if I ordered chicken katsu or beef teriyaki, but for the sushi combo it's not necessary. In fact, I would have appreciated an alternative, perhaps a few gyoza dumplings or something would have been much better.
It just goes to show they don't really have it all "together", despite the age of the establishment.
