  • I am a 71 yo female who has been positively treated by Dr. Timothy Kelsch, MD ENT for chronic sinusitis and septal deviation repair. My history consisted of headaches since 1978, which increased subtly at first and persisted with increasing intensity over a 4 decade period of time. I had not put together that an accident related injury had initiated in me a suseptability for sinus issues, until during this last yr (2017-2018) the headaches' severity finally grew to become intolerable. I could not plan even through one day, much less several, nor thru any weeks' duration. I am a healthy person otherwise, and since retirement from Critical Care and Administrative hospital work, I had continued riding my own Harley Wide Glide, writing, oil painting, hiking, etc. But these things gradually become literally impossible. - Dr. Kelsch's evaluation and treatment plan for my chronic disease was set in motion early in February, 2018. Medication regimes and treatments followed over a period of 3 monitored months, during which appointments validated that I had to have surgical intervention to heal; the headaches and head pain , ear and facial pain, vertigo, complete loss of taste and smell ... persisted intolerably even through this time. Surgery occurred at the end of April. Office personnel went over and above to assure scheduling and financial smoothness; there were several of Dr. Kelsch's ENT staff who were impressively outstanding, and I thank them! - The outcome of what became a complicated surgical repair, has been an answer to prayer. I not only had severe septal damage but also there were unexpected anatomical anomalies in the central and most posterior sinus. - It has now been 2 months since surgery. With planned follow-up appointments, complete compliance with medications and nasal irrigations, and the continued skills of Dr. Kelsch (and the staff behind the scenes as well), I remain headache, pain, vertigo and infection free. I can now plan my life, ride again, paint again, and best of all, laugh again. It has been great to taste foods and be able to smell! I am aware that the future can very well play with and vary some of this level recovery, but this surgery was what I have needed to return to a normal life again now. A skilled ENT doctor and his staff have made this difference for me and my family also.
