AWESOME PEDICURE - POSSIBLY ILLEGAL GIFT CARD SHENANIGANS...
I went for a pre-birthday pedicure this past week because dear hubby had purchased a gift card package for me this past Christmas. ONLINE he found a deal for a $160 dollar gift card and if you purchased through their website you received another $40 dollar gift card by mail. He bought it thinking I would have $200 in spa bucks to do what I wanted.
NOTE: My $160 gift card printed out on my computer printer and said in bold letters that this was my gift card and is worth $160.
So I went with both gift cards in my wallet and did have a great pedicure. My pedicurist was kind and attentive and I especially loved the parafin wax treatment that was included in the Hungarian Pedicure.
The decor in the salon is not for me but the pedicure room was very comfortable and the old style leather recliners were nice - I don't like the crazy massage chairs - I just wanna sit like a normal person!
Polish selection was not for a hip rockstar smart mouth like me (glad I brought my own hot ass black polish - cause I'm all about Back to Black!)
It was more I'm a rich BTCH that lives in fox chapel color pallet...ANYWAY...
MY GRIPE came to paying the bill...I presented the GUEST SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE with my $160 gift card paper print out thing and she refused it! At first, it seemed like she had no idea what it was- I explained where/how it was purchased and she seemed to have no clue how to validate it. She asked where my $40 card was and then said I HAD to use the $40 one first?! I CALL BULLSHIT! After reading previous reviews I have come to the following conclusion: This place runs too many deals that maybe employees don't even know about and the deals have hidden rules? I THINK THAT'S ILLEGAL?
Regrettably, I was in a rush to get to a party held in my honor so I didn't put up a fight. I'm concerned about returning to use the other $160 - it better be GOD DAMN honored - upon penalty of WEB BLAST from yours truly!
