| - I'm not sure what several of these reviews are saying about this place being sketchy. As a 20-something-year-old female, the only thought that ran through my head when I walked up at around 2 in the afternoon on a Tuesday was "Is this place open?"
Once I got inside, though, I felt right at home. It was actually nice and cool despite the 100+ degree weather, which was an immediate bonus. I found the ambiance cute and alternative (just how I like it), and it wasn't too loud at all. Considering the walls are white, and the place is well lit, 'sketchy' or 'dingy' were the last words on my mind. The staff was super sweet. They answered my 20 questions since it was my first time visiting. The bathroom was clean. They have wifi. Yes, the menu was a little beat-up but certainly easy to navigate. (If the food is good, who cares, anyway?) Everyone inside seemed happy with whatever they were consuming.
My smoothie was exactly what I wanted and so good. (I think it was the mango one? I got it with coconut milk.) Having a choice between coconut, rice, almond, and soy was a HUGE plus in my book.
Okay, so the tables aren't topped with candles, flowers, and silverware wrapped in fresh cloth napkins. But this place felt exactly like what I was looking for on a Tuesday afternoon: down-to-earth, affordable, alternative, friendly, and... delish. I will be back.
