| - Pretty nice ballpark! This was my first time at spring training, though I've been to a handful of MLB stadiums and one or two MiLB ones.
I went on a Saturday for an afternoon game in mid-March. The game had already begun and there was a long line on arrival. When we finally got near the front after about 10 minutes there people cutting in, it was not clear where to line up, and I ended up having to cut into another line when I was moved at the last second for having a bag. Not very well organized. Generally, though, staff friendly and helpful. We were offered directions while waiting for our last friend to get through the gate, and there were a bunch of staff saying goodbye and thank you when we left.
The stadium is a pretty good size and it was quite full. It has a different feel from a big-league stadium, smaller, friendlier, and a bit more relaxed. I thought the atmosphere was comparable to an AT&T stadium game - busy, friendly people, lots of cheering and little jeering.
The service at the food and drink stands was super friendly and efficient. At the spirits bar they would start checking the ID of the next person as they finished the transaction for the guest before them, which kept things moving. The server at the concessions was also really happy to help and took his time chatting with us since it was quiet.
All in, a positive experience - though they could definitely work on the entrance logistics and direct the lines more efficiently.
