| - I bought my 2013 XTerra here just before they became Scott Clark, when they were South Charlotte Nissan. Great experience - Wendy (who is subsequently now the finance manager for an Indian Trail Jeep dealer - a sign of her professionalism...) got me exactly what I wanted at exactly the price I wanted, without haggling. Even when they shipped the wrong color car, they bent over backwards to keep me as a client - free rental car, 2 years of free oil changes/car washes, the works.
Skip forward 3 years - I call in for an oil change, get told by service manager Caleb that it's time for my 25k service - $700, which I accept, because I love my ride and want them to keep it in top shape. Please note they sold me new wiper blades at this point.
A few weeks after I leave the dealership I'm talking to my brother who runs the finance departments for 4 dealerships in Chicago, a Nissan dealership among them. He says "your 25k what? That's not a thing. You got taken."
I don't tend to complain, and figure I got a service for the money - sparks, filters, balance, etc. and think nothing of it other than maybe I went overboard on the preventative maintenance.
Skip forward 3 months - I call in for my state emissions test, and get told by service mgr Robert that I failed because my wiper blades had 'a streak'. Recommends new blades.
I didn't even correct him - just walked out, lifted the brand new wiper blade, found a piece of a stick under it, pick it out, and drive away.
I will not return.
They're either thieves and scammers, or can't be bothered to check their own service records, or lift a damn wiper blade.
My vote; both.
My take: No thank you.
A swing and a miss guys. Whiff city.
