| - While visiting Montreal, I searched far and wide for a delicious croissant. I came upon some good croissants, an absolutely terrible one, and one that was simply other-worldly at Boulangerie Premiere Moisson.
This shop is buried in the middle of the food court of the train station, and has a large selection of pastries. I bought an almond croissant and a creme-filled eclair. The croissant was flaky, delicate, buttery and sweet (but not overly sweet). This was the croissant I was looking for in Montreal.
The eclair was utterly delicious, as well. The pastry was delicate, topped with a thin layer of chocolate, and filled with wonderful, cool vanilla creme.
After savoring these wonderful pastries, I was very attempted to go right back and buy some more, but held off not because I didn't want more, but because I was eating dinner within a couple of hours.
If you are in downtown Montreal and enjoy pastries, you owe it to yourself to visit this strange little gem in the middle of the train station.
