My husband and I had lunch here on one of his day's off. We ordered the appetizer combo plate to share, along with meals of chile relleno and carne asada. Eliana's simple menu of homestyle Salvadoran food may have been novel and interesting to diners 25+ years ago when this place first opened, but it's just plain boring by today's standards. Aside from their thick Salvadoran-style tortillas, which were quite good, there's really nothing being served here that you wouldn't find at a grocery store deli counter for better quality and half the price. Nothing was particularly flavorful at this restaurant, and to top off our decidedly mediocre experience, we were overcharged by $2. When my husband brought this to the attention of the owner, he laughed and gave my husband some stupid double-talk about how we supposedly ordered beans and rice, but the meals come with beans and rice anyway. . . Obviously, I don't see a return trip to this place. Overall mediocre, uninteresting food at a poor value price.
