  • The two times I have eaten at Barrio I have been extremely lucky to be seated right away, I have drove past before where the line is out the door! It can get so extremely touristy-busy! (Which is a great thing!) I sat at the bar and ordered my al-time-favorite drink, Horchata! Now, now... you ALREADY KNOW it would of been a margarita or two but I was driving and I was driving 30 minutes back home to the East Valley. Otherwise, it woulda been on! I ordered a specialty item on the menu the server backed me up with a guarantee i was going to love it which I absolutely did. The Chile's de nogada is a fiesta in your mouth, reading the description on the menu could throw you off a bit because of the 'pomegranate seeds' but it compliments the meal perfectly. My leftovers heated up beautifully since the portions are large. Service is impeccable but beware that it's still a small, authentic restaurant. The restroom is teeny tiny and it's very dim throughout the restaurant. I asked if it was ok to take the Mexican coca-coca glass home and our server said yes because they grow them away! Gah! A lovely souvenir. Barrio also has an airport location which is AMAZING since travelers can try the food without the hassle of finding parking and waiting for a table. No fair! Okay, now I'm craving BC again.
