  • Deliciousness 3.5/5 Happiness 4.5/5 I enjoyed this place far more than I anticipated. It is a very pork-heavy menu (which I don't eat), but the beef sausage and chicken schnitzel were good. What were really outstanding were the garlic soup (I even ordered an extra bowl... in 100 degree heat!) and giant pretzels (a seasonal offering. Too bad since it was one of the best pretzels I've ever had). But let's be honest, you come here for the beer. It's expensive, but it's the real McCoy (or, because it is a German restaurant, the real Uter? Yay Simpsons!). Plenty of German ale selections I hadn't even heard it. Yes, they had a beer boot. No, I was not able to chug it all at once despite my best efforts. The drinks are delicious, especially when enjoyed in their outdoor patio. This is a pretty unique place with some very authentic German food and beer. Definitely nice for a change to the fare offered by most restaurants.
