These bagels are pretty dang good. Decided to venture out to this 24/7 spot on a weekend afternoon and wasn't disappointed.
The area is very trendy/hipster and has a lot of historical things in the area too including a Mordecai Richler library. Immediately when entering the store, you are greeted by a warm smell of amazingggggg baked goods.
This place is super authentic and very basic. It looks like it hasn't really been renovated since 1957 when it opened, but to be honest it doesn't need to. Although it is a tourist attraction, it still has a very original, non-commercialized vibe.
Now for the bagel, I decided to get an "all dressed" bagel. In Montreal, everything bagels are known as all dressed.
Oh man, was this bagel ever good. It wasn't heavy at all, and tasted so delicious. It was unusually light for a bagel. The "all-dressed" flavours were perfectly balanced in every bite.
Oh and remember to bring cash, it's cash only.
