  • The simple fact is that if you want the big room clubbing experience, this is probably the best Toronto has right now. They did a great job with the renovations when switching this place from Sound Academy to Rebel. A lot of the complaints here are ridiculous as they generally involve someone getting too drunk, dealing with security (fun fact: all Ink owned nightclubs have the strictest and most overbearing security of any clubs in Toronto), or dealing with the bar star individuals you'll also run into regardless of which big Toronto club you end up at. But lets overlook these commonly found generic club complaints and get to the nitty gritty of the venue. Main room has a great sound and lighting rig, although admittedly it would be cooler if the dj was a bit lower so you can see what their doing (although this is common nowadays as most djs aren't technically doing much but waving their hands around). There are also a lot of sight lines that are cut off by the bottle service booths - another common tragedy in modern day clubbing. There were multiple bars and bathrooms available on each side, and I never had to wait excessively for either. 355ml cans of beer went for $8.50, which is about what I expected. The patios are also pretty chill spots to hang with great views. The upstairs has a second room worth visiting, Noir, which is mostly house music based on when I went. Admittedly as I get older, I don't need flames shooting out of the walls and just need room to dance and a good sound system, so I found a lot of solace and enjoyment in spending time up there. PRO-TIP - don't bother with Guestlist. The line is huge and moves slowly, whereas you can pay $20 through general admission on Saturdays and the line moves super quick. If you buy advanced tickets its only $15 for that matter. What is your time worth? I know I'd rather just be able to go in and enjoy my night asap rather than waiting in line.
