We purchased a GE washer and dryer, along with a full set of kitchen appliances, a little over 2 years ago from this location. If you are like me, I do a week's worth of laundry on the weekend. This morning, the washer started leaking from the bottom with the first load--not the hoses, I checked. We had purchased the extended warranty so I started making calls. While the people at Spencer's were professional and polite, I learned I have to go through the warranty company to schedule the service call. I called the warranty company and got a recording that their hours are Monday through Friday, 8 to 5. I can't even speak to someone to begin the process of scheduling a service call for another 48 hours. I have no idea how much of a delay there will be getting a service person out here after I am finally able to speak to the warranty company. DO NOT BUY THE EXTENDED IN HOUSE WARRANTY. Save your money or buy the more expensive manufacturer's warranty. Unless you don't mind being without one of your appliances for several days or more, the in house extended warranty is useless when you really need it.
