  • This may be a landmark for sure for the next two years, but not a pretty one... save yourself a drive off the main road, if ugly monstrosities are your cup of tea you can see it just fine from Highway 15 passing by... Unfortunately the people who don't like looking at things plopped in the desert that are sorely out of place are not so lucky. I took the time to drive there so I could give my honest review living 15 miles away from this thing. Driving on the side road LV blvd when it goes down to two lanes puts your squarely through an area where many people are target shooting on the government land. So just make sure to stay on the paved road on the way there.... also I suggest doing the speed limit as there is wildlife and NHP travels that road often as they are in Jean. ... Onto my review of the "day glo shish kabobs" as I have dubbed them when I speak of them in polite circles.......I am quite used to eclectic art, that is not the problem with this ..the problem is that It is out of place and I think the last place it belongs is in the desert...the Desert .. is a beautiful canvas in itself. This piece looks like the Almighty ate day glo play-doh and let nature take it's course. (I described them a bit more colorfully in some company,... you get the idea). Save yourself the half hour detour off the 15 and on your way to or from Vegas. I wish I did. but I did it so I could speak as a "patron" and give a knowledgeable review. Catch one of our desert sunsets instead...now THAT is an attraction. And if you put art that is glariingly out of place in the middle of the desert, prepare for critics.
