  • This can be a tiring experience. It's a large mall. When I say large, I mean, you really got to take breaks here and there walking through it. I'd suggest, plan of attack is to try and have at least lunch or some brunch here while shopping. Its modern interior is nice, but I wish they had thought out the layout a bit more, I like meandering as much as the next person, but... Oh and the toilet bowl whirlwinds of water display? Pass. I think someone got all "Let's do a water feature, because they read something a long time ago about how the Bellagio fountains were conceived or whatever. No. I get it. There are trendy designers you are attracting to your mall. You want to show off a bit, but this just didn't do it for me. That said, there are really interesting plays of light and shadow going on in the architecture, along with the seasonal displays. And the tree-house restaurant, one of the Mastro's Ocean Clubs, is just about perfect. Whimsical and inviting to kids and the kids at heart. I reiterate, quite a walk to actually get to though. Look for a separate review when we finally have time to eat there. The better store at Crystals IMHO are Stella's, Ford's, Prada, and LV or Hermes. So, yes, I don't dig Bally, Fendi, Gucci, CD, etc. Dunno, maybe too reminiscent of the bad old days of design for me now. Not like they're the fallen houses of design, just don't do it for me now. Am I a generation Now type? Dunno. NJOY!
