| - This place is suffering from poor management, under-staffing, low employee morale, lack of investment or perhaps all of the above. My wife and I recently stayed in a deluxe river view room and were underwhelmed with the outdated furnishings. I get it- this isn't a boutique hotel, but for $250 a night, guests should expect a bit more than run-down flop house carpet, tub, furniture etc. To make our stay worse, we stayed for breakfast the following morning and it was total and unmitigated disaster. The restaurant wasn't super busy, but it was it a state of utter chaos. I counted a total of two servers for 14 tables. Our table was bussed when we went to the buffet (because they were out of feta at 8am), leaving us without silverware or coffees upon our return. Gummy red peppers in the scrambled eggs at the buffet? A crappy toaster that hadn't been cleaned maybe ever? Breakfast turned out to be an unnecessarily stressful and unpleasant chore. When we went to the front desk, only one of four or so computers was being manned and so we were forced to wait behind three separate people checking in just to check out. We won't be back to this Sheraton or any other.
