I found myself with some unexpected free time and decided to schedule a last minute facial; I was excited that they were so accommodating and could fit me in! (As always, my favorite place was booked. I have to call a week in advance to get in.) Anyway, I was in much need of some relaxation time. 'Tis the season! The lobby was fairly relaxing and tranquil (as states the name) when you walk in. The stone work is absolutely beautiful. I couldn't quit gazing at it. I filled out my first time visit paperwork and went right in. As I mentioned before, I just wanted time to relax, not a complete facial overhaul. After I quickly discussed my skin care goals and daily routine with the esthetician, she recommended an up-sell to a chemical peel, without even looking at my skin. I was a little disappointed with this quick recommendation. I have never had anyone suggest any type of treatment without looking at my skin first. We decided it was best just to have the normal treatment with light massage.
The rest of the session was okay. It was nothing horrible, but nothing spectacular either. I probably wouldn't go back because my "go to" place is far superior, in my opinion. I have never really had a bad facial experience, but I would have to say it was at the bottom of my scale from previous experiences. The products themselves had pleasant scents and I looked refreshed when I left, but I have nothing else of importance to add to this review.
