I'm in Vegas for a week and for the first two nights I decided to stay a little off the strip and save some money, this brought me to Hooters Casino and Hotel. Honestly, I don't know why people are hating on this place so badly! The Casino is on the smaller side and a little older but it is clean and staffed by super friendly people who are more than happy to assist you with anything you might need. For an extra $10 a night I upgraded to an Ocean View room overlooking New York, New York and the Luxor. Not awesome during the day but gorgeous at night. As you can see by the photos, the room was light and spacious, very clean and the decor was super cute! The bathroom was a little on the older side and not great lighting for makeup but that's going to happen in an older hotel. Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean.
I don't gamble but I did head to the bar next to the pool for some drinks and the bartender was awesome! She made us some really strong Scooby Snacks and some tasty Moscow Mules. The bill evened out to $104, split down the middle to $52 each which wasn't too bad. My friend and I sat by the pool and played giant Jenga which I thought was a really cute touch and definitely would love to come back and swim during one of the day time pool parties.
I really liked Hooters, it was basic but clean and friendly. The free parking and Uber pickup from front door was definitely the icing on the cake!
