  • I don't often write Yelp reviews but my experience was so bad with this office that I had to voice my opinion. I first went to see Dr Kramer in Feb 2015 because of excessive menstrual bleeding caused by my birth control. He was very professional and courteous my first visit and I was excited to have a new gynecologist, especially because I had been bleeding for 4 months straight. I was supposed to have two more appointments with him to follow up and then his office staff was going to submit an authorization to my insurance to get my current birth control removed and get an IUD placed. So far so good. In April 2015, two weeks after my third appointment, I called to find out about my authorization status and the office staff had no idea what I was talking about. I spoke to the girl who does authorizations and she raised her voice at me about coming in to see the doctor and I told her that I wasn't comfortable paying for another office visit for him to tell me the same exact thing; that I had already had my consult appointments. I'm generally a very passive, non-confrontational person so i wasnt trying to argue with her. She told me she would submit the request and to call back in two weeks. Fast forward two weeks and she never submitted it and had no idea what I was talking about...AGAIN. She assured me this time it would be submitted and to call back again. I did and the same thing happened all over. She tried blaming someone else but I had written down her information this time so she started backpedaling immediately and told me she would submit it and call me. I never got a call back and could never get her to call me back despite multiple phone messages. I decided to rather suffer through my incessant bleeding than to deal with his office again. Feb2016 I could no longer deal with the problem I was having and my birth control was due to be removed from my arm. I went for a visit with the doctor and the front desk girl was THE RUDEST, ANGRIEST WOMAN IVE EVER MET. She kept insisting I needed a referral to be there (which I do NOT) and she tried arguing with me. Again, I'm not a confrontational person so I told her I would be happy to call my insurance in front of her but that I was 100% positive that I didn't need a referral. I'm a veteran and VERY familiar with my Tricare. I got in to see the doctor and he told the nurse as we were walking out of the room to submit my authorization. The nurse said that the girl who does authorizations said they couldn't because I needed a referral. The doctor then TOLD ME TO GO TELL HIS NURSE THAT SHE WAS WRONG. I'm sorry but it isn't the patients job to educate your office staff on how to do their job. On my way out of the office I called Tricare to confirm what I already knew about my authorization and went to the desk to tell them I didn't need a referral and to just submit my authorization. It shouldn't have surprised me as much as it did that the rude desk girl was the same rude authorization girl I had been dealing with for the last year. She rolled her eyes at me, raised her voice both to me and to other office staff, and then starting talking down to me like I was an idiot for trying to explain to her how my Tricare Standard works. She kept speaking slowly and annunciating to try to indicate that she was speaking with someone stupid which is ironic because she was obviously the only closed-minded idiot in the room. I'm a respectful woman so I kept my cool as much as possible but I can assure you i've never encountered such an infuriating lack of professionalism as I experienced with her. I called Linda, the office manager, to try to discuss what happened with her. She called me back once but I didn't get to the phone in time so I called her back 10 minutes later and I've since left handfuls of messages and have never been able to get her to call me back. I also used to work in a doctors office in a low income area in California as a medical assistant. I'm well versed in insurance, billing, customer service, and how to treat patients. The office staff of this location should be fired immediately. They are easily the worst group of people to work in the medical industry and have zero understanding of how to deal with patients. Honestly, they probably shouldn't have jobs where they work with people at all. This place is a joke and I couldn't recommend any place any less to anyone.
