  • After eating alot of Sweet Jesus downtown, the hype has definately died but I still come back for the cravings. Idk, maybe I just haven't had enough gelato or something but I just love how rich SJ's icecream are and the atmosphere of the whole place is sending me gr8 vibes for the overhyped icecream. The whole blue theme and edgy designs got me coming back for them aesthetics you know? My first time ever hearing this location opened and so I decided to check it out with a friend :) The outer appearance was definately an upgrade from it's downtown counterpart and boy do I love that blue. The inside was just as beautiful as you'd expect it to be with lots of bar-like seating. They even have a lovely well lit area near the entrance I believe specifically caters to photogenic foodies which is GREAT. I ordered the only Vegan icecream combo at the time of 2k17 February; Pimped Out Bounty Killah. A coconut milk based icecream with toasted coconut and chocolate syrup (assuming they use soy letchin for the chocolate) and oh boy. The coconut wasn't too overpowering nor was it nonexistent and the syrup hardened overtime because of how cold the icecream was. That way the icecream as whole had that satisfying creamy, crunchy, and cold trip to the North Pole really, it was magical. But as every icecream at Sweet Jesus ends, you'll get tired of it (unless you're a sweet tooth like me LOL). My friend ordered the Vegan Hot Chocolate with Coconut Milk topped with toasted coconut which we both thought was too sweet and too bland. Like imagine diluted sugar water with very small hints of maybe there's chocolate in it, the coconut flakes are kinda there, not enough foam if it was a latte. That kinda stuff. Definately will be back when the cravings hit again!
