  • Terrible. I bought scallops and a rainbow trout fillet from them on a Saturday morning. The fish was double bagged, but it smelled so bad we thought something must be rotting in the kitchen. Once we opened the bag and realized it was the trout, the only thing to do with it was put it in the freezer to prevent the whole house from stinking. The scallops were not good either. We cooked them way longer than normal, having lost faith because of the fish, but no matter how long they cooked, they still looked raw inside - a sure sign that they'd been soaked in some preservative. The tasted OK on first bite, but the aftertaste was so awful I couldn't eat any. And they were expensive! More than what I pay in Toronto at Hooked, which has the best and freshest seafood I've found anywhere. I was so glad I didn't buy the oysters at San Antonio, which were all $25/dozen - not cheap by any means, and probably not fresh either, judging by the other items I bought. I probably should have been smarter and not bought anything, since nothing looked particularly fresh (at least not the fillets - I didn't check out the whole fish). I was surprised, since the place specializes in seafood, and this was way worse than generic supermarket quality.
