| - Very much like the Yelper below me, I had an issue with the door locked and a "Closed" sign up...
I had called in the morning and made an appointment (and mentioned my Groupon) for 2pm later the same day. I arrived at 1:45pm and encountered the suite door closed with a Be Back Later CLOSED sign. Confused, I walked back toward the door to the building waiting area and figured I'd wait since I was early. On my way to the lobby, I walked passed a woman who I heard go to a door with keys and go into a suite, but didn't see which one. If by chance this was the nail tech, I walked back down the hall to check Gless, but still saw the shut door and CLOSED sign up, so figured it wasn't her. I waited 5 more minutes and then called. Turns out, it was her and she forgot she had me as an appointment and forgot to flip to the OPEN sign and was in fact in the room now. She apologized. Apparently this is a one-man operation type place. It was a little awkward, but I moved on politely with the appointment, which then started on time at least!
In terms of her work, although she was very friendly, it felt rushed (took 30 minutes total for a shellac manicure) and she mentioned she had a 2:30 appointment, which I didn't think was necessary. Although 30 minutes I know can be possible in a shellac manicure with very skilled nail techs, this manicure did look a bit sloppy and my nail tips felt jagged and rough:/ I had to go home and file my nails a bit so they'd feel smooth. I've had many non-chip/shellac manicures and this one is probably the second worst I've gotten, sorry:( She did at least offer me a returning customer discount if I came back again. I hate to leave a negative review, but I hope it can be viewed constructively to improve the business. I've added photos to view of my mani, too.
