  • Dimpflmeier is "the place" to get your bread products in Etobicoke. Many grocery stores sell their products, but you might as well buy it from the source. Their bagels are amazing, slightly crispy outside and chewy inside, everyone I've shared them with has gotten hooked on them. They also have a dozen or so varieties of rye bread in half loaf and full loaf style. Not to mention their massive 10lb loafs, which whenever my family from the US comes buys a bunch to bring home with them. Theres a glass showcase of various other "rustic" type loaves as well as baguettes and snacks like pretzels and twists. The rest of their product line is desserts. My wife and I are big fans of their cookies (chocolate macaroons and black/white sugar cookies) and butterfly pastries. They have a wide variety of sweets behind the counter and packaged pies and cakes in their showcase. These are European style desserts so don't expect them to be overly sweet like North American desserts are. Coffee is also available to be enjoyed in their sit down area, I can't comment on it though since I'm not a big coffee drinker. Note that it is cash only but there is an ATM on site. One thing to watch out for is their parking lot. It is generally very busy on the weekends and people pull in and out of spots without looking. There is a parking lot at the end of the building which I would recommend using instead of trying to find parking in front. On one occasion an old man (looked 80+) parked his Hyundai across the exit, blocking everyone inside the lot. I've also seen old ladies jump the curbs trying to park their boat cars too, so be careful.
