| - The first time that I heard about this place it was still a concept. Then all of a sudden I saw it came up on my Yelp feed, I didn't even realize it became a thing already. I just happened to be in the area, so I stopped by to see what it was all about.
The Pawn Plaza is on the small side. If you have ever been to the pawn shop, you know that the parking lot is already cramped but they were still able to fit this plaza in. During my visit, I was surprised how easy it was to find parking. There were tons of people at the pawn shop, but the plaza was a ghost town. Most of the stores close around 5pm on a weekday-- even the donut shop! The purpose of my visit was for a donut, but the only place open was the BBQ spot. It did smell really good, maybe I'll have to bookmark it and give it a try. So donuts, Rita's Italian Ice, BBQ, and Italian-- that's all I saw. I read somewhere something about poutine, but I didn't see that.
If you are a fan of Pawn Stars, then this place is a must for you since there were pictures of the cast everywhere. I like the little cartoon rick on the BBQ sign. Reality shows are usually not my thing, but I do enjoy the Pawn Stars (History Channel addict over here) and will always opt to watch this show over the Kardashians any day. There were some history antiques on display second floor.
Make sure to take a selfie at the Chum Lee selfie station!
